For more power and an abundance of interior luxuries, as well as some off-roading gear, you can splurge on the turbocharged Sorento X-Pro. When you’re looking for great fuel economy, opt for the Sorento plug-in hybrid or regenerative braking Sorento hybrid.

Front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive are both options with the 2024 Sorento, and the Sorento offers an impressive selection of engine choices, including a standard eight-speed automatic transmission with a 2.5-liter engine that puts out 191-hp. Both Sorento hybrids have a six-speed automatic transmission 1.6-liter gas engine and electric motor that generates 227 hp, while the all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid’s powertrain has the same engine with a combined 261 hp.

You’ll enjoy a number of standard and optional driver-assist technologies with the 2024 Kia Sorento. Automated emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection and lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist are standard.
